ISMS Copilot Docs

Duplicate a Workspace as a Template

Copy an existing workspace, including its instructions, pinned documents, memories, and pinned links, into a fresh workspace so a new project starts from your base set.

Duplicate a Workspace as a Template

If several projects share the same base set of policies, processes, and instructions, you can build that base once and then duplicate the workspace for each new project. The copy starts as a clean workspace with your base already in place, so you only add the documents that are specific to the new project.

What Gets Copied

Duplicating a workspace creates a new, independent workspace that includes:

  • Custom instructions and the workspace persona
  • Pinned documents you uploaded to the workspace
  • Saved memories for the workspace (both the ones you added and the ones the assistant learned)
  • Pinned links (URL resources) with their saved content

What Does Not Get Copied

  • Conversations. The new workspace starts with no chat history, so it stays fast and focused on the new project.

The copy is a snapshot taken at the moment you duplicate. Later changes to the original workspace do not flow into copies you already made, and changes in a copy do not affect the original.

How to Duplicate a Workspace

  1. Go to Workspaces to see your workspace cards.
  2. On the workspace you want to reuse, click Duplicate.
  3. Confirm in the dialog. The assistant copies the base set and opens the new workspace.
  4. Rename the new workspace and add the documents specific to this project.

The new workspace is named after the original with (copy) added, so you can rename it to match the client or project.

Files that are still processing when you duplicate are skipped, and the confirmation message tells you how many. Re-upload them in the copy if you need them, or duplicate again once processing has finished.

When to Use It

Duplicate a workspace when you want a repeatable starting point, for example:

  • A base ISMS set you reuse for each new client engagement
  • A standard policy and process pack you tailor per department
  • A framework starter (ISO 27001, SOC 2, and similar) you begin every project from

Duplicate is available on your own workspaces.
