ISMS Copilot Docs

Assistant name and attribution

Set the bot display name, how it answers who-are-you, company speech, and what always stays ISMS Copilot.

What you control

In the Assistants console at platform.ismscopilot.com/embed you can set:

FieldRole
Assistant namePublic bot brand in the widget header, empty state, and answers to “what is your name?”
Company / product name (workspace name)Used as the spoken company when visitors ask who the assistant is or who it works for

The server owns both. The install snippet cannot override the header or model identity with a client-side title field.

How names resolve

  1. Assistant display name if you set a valid one (2–60 characters after validation).
  2. Else the workspace company / product name, if valid.
  3. Else a generic fallback: ISO 27001 assistant.

Invalid candidates are rejected (too short/long, HTML/control characters, reserved brands such as “ISMS Copilot” or “Better ISMS”, clear official-auditor impersonation). Names are treated as opaque brand data, not as free-form system instructions.

What visitors hear

Visitor asksTypical partner-mode answer
“What is your name?”Your assistant name
“Who are you?” / “Who do you work for?”Assistant name and company when company is valid
“What powers you?” / “Which platform?”May name ISMS Copilot as the technology

Partner mode does not present Better ISMS as the company the partner bot works for. That is intentional for GRC consultancies and platforms putting the widget on their site.

What always stays ours

  • Widget chrome Powered by ISMS Copilot (always on for all tiers today; removing it on paid is a future product, not current GA).
  • AI-generated / not legal advice disclosures in the widget.
  • Framework knowledge, safety rules, and infrastructure.

How to set it

  1. Open platform.ismscopilot.com/embed.
  2. Find the Assistant name card.
  3. Enter the public bot name visitors should see (for example a product brand).
  4. Save. Retry the playground and ask “what is your name?” and “who are you?”.
  5. Workspace Company / product name is set at partner create (and remains the spoken company source).

Playground and public website embed use the same server-resolved identity.

Out of scope today

  • Custom logo in the widget chrome
  • Hiding Powered by on free or paid
  • Multi-assistant workspaces with different brands
  • Free-text persona / system-prompt editor

Main ISMS Copilot chat (chat.ismscopilot.com) is a separate product. Partner identity and spoken company apply only to the Assistants / embed product.
