EU processing for embed

Optional Growth+ setting that routes embed traffic through Advanced Data Protection (EU Mistral path).

What it is

EU processing is a console setting for embed partners on Growth and higher. When it is on, that workspace’s embed traffic uses the same Advanced Data Protection path as chat (EU Mistral routing).

It is off by default. Turning it on is a deliberate choice for your partner workspace. Visitors never pick a region in the widget, and the public snippet does not advertise residency.

Who can enable it

Free, Entry, and Starter cannot enable it. If EU processing was left on after a downgrade, embed messages fail closed with an upgrade error until you upgrade again or turn the setting off. The product never silently routes that traffic to the default non-ADP path while the setting is on.

How to use it

  1. Open Assistants / embed console and confirm you are on Growth or higher.
  2. Find the EU processing card (near brand and install).
  3. Choose Enable EU processing or Turn off EU processing.
  4. Retry the playground once if you were mid-session; new messages use the updated setting.

Disable is always allowed, including when you are no longer Growth-eligible (that is how you clear a sticky fail-closed state).

What it does not claim

  • It does not add an end-user badge or mint field for “EU mode.”
  • It does not replace the Trust Center / DPA for legal processor language. See trust.ismscopilot.com.
  • It does not change reply allowances; billing stays on your embed plan’s reply model.

Ops may temporarily refuse ADP embed traffic with a clear error if an emergency kill switch is on. The console can still turn EU processing off. Traffic is not soft-rerouted to a non-ADP path in that state.
